Good price get what you want, beef broth is one of the best, good selection of toppings, pay by weight, free drink when you get 1.5+ pounds and pay in cash

My boyfriend and I love Malatang because you can pick and choose what items you want and just pay by the lb. For $13.99, you get a good variety of fish balls and veggies. I loved that they offer fish ball with roe-- something i rarely see offered at malatang or shabu. Sadly, there were only beef and lamb option for protein when we went (not a big deal). The beef ended up being too fatty for my liking but overall a good experience! If your bowl is over 1.5 lb, you can get a free soda of your choice!

We came in Friday night. This place is decently sized. Not too small but not a super large restaurant either. There is parking either behind or on the street. We were seated right away as it wasn't busy. There is a sauce station and then topping next to it. It was a really easy process. You just fill up your bowl with however much you want and then hand it to the front counter for weighing. You get a bracelet with a number. After it's done cooking they hand you your food in a big bowl. I was SUPER full at the end. I also felt like it was pretty worth the amount I paid. Everything I put in my bowl was delicious! This was my first time here and DEF not my last!

I'll admit I had pretty low expectations about this place. The concept of building your own bowl and charging by weight seemed like a setup for disaster. I didn't like the added pressure of making a meal that was good and affordable. Luckily, tho I filled my bowl with meat and cabbage. I really wish they had udon noodles tho. The broth was good. I think all 5 of my party enjoyed the meal. So this was a very pleasant and enjoyable place. The staff was friendly enough also. I'll be back here when I'm in the mood for soup filled with meat.

This hot pot spot is a DIY dream with an amazing selection of toppings. I loved the chewy rice cakes and mochi fish balls. The dry pot was peanutty, perfectly spicy, but a bit too saucy. The real star was the tomato soup --rich, comforting, and impossible to stop drinking. Can't wait to go back!

I love this spot. It's the closest to dry hot pot I can find that resembles dry hot pot in NYC. YinTang has become my comfort food spot. My sister even knows, when I'm craving something and want delivery, it's this spot. I do believe you get more bang for your buck going in person and choosing your items, but the lazy in me doesn't mind delivery, just that I don't always understand the English translation of some veggies. I find that the dry hot pot flavor is always consistent every time I order (I've lost count) and food always slaps. I do know once in a blue moon, they'll be out of the dry hot pot option. Overall, love this place! And if you haven't had dry hot pot before and enjoy mala flavors, give it a go!

I was disappointed to see they dont give the free crispy wonton strips. Still really yummy! I love that it's by pound and you get to choose the amount you want. I love the flavor of the soup (signature).

I love the concept of Yin Tang since it's so customizable. You grab a bowl and start putting in your desired toppings which range from vegetables to fish to meat to noodles. You just have to make sure you eat with your stomach and not your eyes because you pay by the pound and each pound costs $13.99. After you finish building your bowl, you go to the cashier, choose between dry pot or broth, and pick your spice level. I went with the spicy hot pot beef broth with medium spice. I loved the broth. It wasn't very spicy to me though but it was still delicious. It was pretty empty since we visited on a Friday at lunch so everything came out relatively quickly. The only unfortunate thing was that the space had an off-putting smell.

I finally tried this self serve hot pot restaurant that was recommended by my cousins. It's like a buffet where you choose all the ingredients that you want inside your hot pot. There is a lot of variety of fresh vegetables, tofu and bean curd items, fish balls, fish/beef/lamb slices, and noodles. You place all ingredients into a plastic bowl and then they weigh your bowl. You then choose which broth or dry stir fry style you want. And within minutes, you are served. You also have the opportunity to make your own dipping sauce at a station beside the bowls. In case you get too much, like I did, ask for a takeout container. The restaurant has plenty of seating, mainly with tables for 2-4 people, but you could easily push a couple of tables together for a bigger party. There was music playing but it wasn't too noisy. Dinner was great!
